Room No. V — Who is she?
The
Visionary
Lanecia Smith is a multidisciplinary visual artist, photographer, creative director, and founder whose work lives at the intersection of image, atmosphere, storytelling, and experience.

The way a story is framed
shapes the way it is remembered
Through fine-art photography, editorial imagery, visual direction, and immersive brand experiences, she builds worlds designed to make people feel something before they fully understand why.

Chapter I — Photography
The Eye
Her photographic work moves between intimacy and observation, often exploring memory, identity, tenderness, perception, and the quiet drama found in ordinary moments.
Whether documenting a wedding, developing a conceptual collection, or directing a campaign, Lanecia approaches each project as a visual narrative rather than a collection of isolated images.

Chapter II — Fine Art
The Reverie
Her fine-art practice extends through Maison des Rêveries, a growing body of photographic collections centered on mood, memory, symbolism, and visual reverie.
Her work has received gallery recognition, including an exhibition feature with MONAD Gallery, alongside years of professional photography experience and published work.

Chapter III — Creative Direction & Brand Identity
The Architecture
Beyond the image itself, Lanecia is deeply interested in how creative ideas become complete environments. Through House of Perception, she develops visual campaigns, creative concepts, brand experiences, and collaborative projects that bring together photography, storytelling, strategy, talent, and design.
Her role often exists behind the visible work — shaping the atmosphere, language, imagery, and emotional architecture that allow an idea to become a world.

Chapter IV — Humanitarian Work
The Village
That same belief in creative possibility extends into her humanitarian work. Lanecia is the founder of Big Little Village, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization developing multidisciplinary internship and experiential-learning opportunities for students and emerging creatives.
The initiative is designed to create access to hands-on production experience, mentorship, portfolio-building work, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and pathways into creative industries.

One recurring instinct — to see what could exist, and begin building it
Photography becomes memory.
Ideas become environments.
Collaboration becomes opportunity.
And imagination becomes something people can step inside.
She creates the worlds around them.
